Uptown Movie Network is the creation of First World Syndication, Inc. Created and led by urban marketing pioneer Keith Clinkscales, and media financier, Judith Aidoo, First World will bridge the gap between Hollywood, urban producers, and marketers. Veteran Media Executive, Andrea Holmes Thompkins joined the team to head the sales effort. By using the founders unique access to studio power brokers, top notch urban talent and producers, First World can provide advertisers with top quality programming and value added services, including branded entertainment, to drive product in today's urban marketplace. First World's first initiative was the successful launch in January 2005 of its UPTOWN MOVIE NETWORK (r) which consists of two urban movie packages that feature classic urban movies and recent movie hits from award winning actors, directors and producers. UPTOWN has been successfully cleared on over 105 broadcast TV stations in the US, reaching some 85% of all African American households and nearly 75% of the general market. In addition, UPTOWN has produced cutting edge interstitial and branded entertainment hosted by actors Shar Jackson and Antwon Tanner.
